Houses cut by the moon.
Homes built for today.
Homes built for today.
Long before moisture meters and kiln schedules, builders knew to fell timber in the waning moon, when sap flow is at its lowest and the wood is at its most stable.
It's a practice older than written forestry, and one the industry is only now able to explain.
Why It Works
Harvested in the waning moon
Cut in the autumn and winter months, in the days before the new moon, when sap in the tree has fallen to its lowest point of the year.
Naturally low in moisture
Left to dry slowly in the forest, moon timber settles below 12% moisture content, the threshold at which wood no longer supports the fungi and insects that break conventional timber down.
No chemical treatment required
Denser and drier from the moment it's cut, moon timber gives pests almost nothing to feed on, so the toxic preservatives standard construction relies on simply aren't needed.
A material built to last generations
Thoma Holz100 has built over 1,000 homes and buildings this way since the early 2000s, including some of the most thermally efficient wooden structures in Europe, all without glue, metal fixings, or preservatives.
Exclusive partner of Thoma Holz100 in Bulgaria
PriRoden is the official Bulgarian partner of Thoma Holz GmbH, the Austrian pioneers of energy-independent, chemical-free homes built entirely from moon timber. Not a reseller. The only way in.
The Minimalist Sanctuary (Key Performance Benefits)
The Holz100 System: 100% Solid Wood, 0% Chemicals Unlike conventional mass timber or cross-laminated products, the patented Holz100 system utilizes zero toxic glues or chemical preservatives. Instead, multiple cross-layered strata of sustainable softwood are mechanically locked together using hyper-dense wooden dowels.
Healthy Living
Formed strictly from unaltered, pure wood. It naturally supports the human immune system, measurably reduces stress markers, and entirely eliminates toxic off-gassing associated with synthetic glues and plastics.
World-Record Insulation
Holz100-Thermo achieves an extraordinary thermal conductivity of just λ=0.079 W/mK. By retaining heat up to three times longer than highly insulated brick, it facilitates true passive homes with zero net heating or cooling costs.
Elite Fire Safety
The solid wood core retains its full structural load-bearing capacity for up to 150 minutes under intense temperatures of 180°C to 1000°C—outperforming conventional concrete, steel, brick, and standard timber framing.
Seismic Flexibility
Non-rigid, organic wooden dowel connections provide superior structural flexibility, natural dampening, and high-performance resistance against severe earthquake forces.
Acoustic & Shielding Comfort
Delivers twice the acoustic insulation required by standard high-end European building regulations, while naturally shielding up to 99% of high-frequency technical radiation (mobile networks, cellular towers, and Wi-Fi ambient fields).
True Circular Economy
Exclusively sourced from PEFC-certified high-altitude forests, harvested strictly during the waning winter moon (Moon Wood). This ancient, highly scientific timing ensures the timber is naturally dense, structurally stable, and fundamentally immune to pests and moisture. Holding the prestigious Cradle to Cradle GOLD certification, Holz100 is 100% recyclable for future generations.
