    A course designed for wood lovers, novice builders of wooden structures, as well as for people who are about to build such structures. Two days filled with theory and practice. The main topics of the course will be:
    – getting to know basic hand and power tools used in carpentry;
    – how to read construction drawings;
    – preparation of a construction drawing;
    – selection and optimization of the necessary materials;
    – preparation and processing of the wooden elements by working with tools;
    – proper selection of fasteners;
    – assembly of the structure.
  • Specialized seminar covering the most current topics in the design of wooden structures: waterproofing and airtightness, acoustics and vibrations, fire resistance, wood protection against decay and pests, proper selection of structural systems and materials. We will consider many aspects of the design and construction of wooden structures. In addition to the theoretical part, during the seminar, participants will have the opportunity to participate in open discussions and practical exercises simulating the team design process. The seminar is suitable for both practicing designers who want to deepen and expand their knowledge of wooden structures, as well as for students of architecture or engineering with an interest in wooden structures.

Two days filled with theory, practice and applications, discussions, tests, and introductions. The main topics will be:

    • advantages and disadvantages of wooden structures;
    • types of timber (characteristics, comparison, cost, and processing);
    • types of connections between elements, their purpose, and their correct use in different cases;
